Registration

If you would like to register to officiate in the 2024/2025 soccer season, please contact us through this website or via our e-mail address.  You may begin the registration process on your own by following this link to the TASO website

There are three basic requirements to becoming a high school soccer referee:

  1. Register with TASO at TASO.org and select “Greater Longview” as your local chapter — the registration fee is $85

    1. That fee covers your training, rules book, badge, and insurance that covers you while you work games, including your travel to/from games.

    2. After you register with TASO, please send an email to secretary.glts@gmail.com stating that you have registered.  Please include assign.glts@gmail.com and pres.glts@gmail.com on the email.

  2. After your registration is processed, you need to watch the TASO videos that are located in the member’s section of TASO.org (TASO will email you your log-in credentials once your membership is accepted).

  3. After watching the videos, you will need to pass the TASO test (located on the same page in the member’s section) with a score of 80 or higher.

Once you complete those requirements you are eligible to officiate high school soccer games.  Send an email to assign.glts@gmail.com once you have completed all the requirements and we will add you to our online game-assignment database.

Thanks for your interest!  We look forward to working with you in the future!
